Lead Grounds and Maintenance Associate Hello! The Land Sanctuary, a beautiful, 160 acre, eco-retreat and educational facility is hiring a position integral to its operations. Both Full-Time and Part-Time applicants will be considered. The Land is really a special place to work. We are nestled in the Anderson Valley and provide delicious farm to table lunches during your work days. Lead Grounds and Maintenance Associate (Full-time and Part-Time): This is a get your hands dirty, fix stuff type of position that requires both critical thinking and strategy planning and time management skills. You will support the Grounds and Maintenance Manager in maintaining critical systems such as our well pump, water storage, and network of filtration, pipes, fire hydrants, etc… Road maintenance, Forestry initiatives like understory clearing, vehicle and tractor maintenance and repair are all part of the gig. Applicants must be available for work in the day time and have the following skills: 1. Basic carpentry and repair 2. Tractor and small farm vehicle mechanical repairs 3. Can repair well systems pumps and irrigation - this is Ideal, but we know its a stretch! 4. Have basic animal husbandry skills a bonus Some of the Maintenance and Repair Tasks you will be doing: • Maintenance and repairs of houses, cabins, animal pens, indoor and outdoor structures. • Maintain water filtration and water system, calcite and potassium filters, sediment filters, iron filter, UV bulbs • Maintenance, cleaning of all vehicles • Golf cart cleaning and maintenance • Septic tank maintenance • Clean Biofilter • Change lightbulbs • Maintain tools, shop, materials Please email with your skills and to set up an interview. *Please include a way to contact you in your email* Thank you!
