It is axiomatic that the more Republicans who refuse to receive the Covid-19 vaccine, the fewer of them there will be to vote. The Red states are lagging behind Blue states in vaccination rates. Why is that? The pandemic has caused 6.9 million deaths worldwide, with about 600,000 in the US. While many of the 600,000 Americans who lost their lives to Covid were elderly or had compromised immune systems, many have just refused to be vaccinated because of lies put out by Republican leaders. And the vast majority of people who have refused to become vaccinated have been Republicans. So keep doing nothing Republicans, and there will be fewer of you. But while you’re still alive, I’m sure you’ll actually figure out a way to blame the Democrats for the virus, when it was Trump who mismanaged and completely bungled the US response and mocked Democrats for wearing masks. But even more importantly, two months before the coronavirus is thought to have begun its deadly advance in Wuhan, China, the Trump administration ended a $200-million pandemic early-warning program aimed at training scientists in China and other countries to detect and respond to such a threat. The project, launched by the U.S. Agency for International Development in 2009, identified 1,200 different viruses that had the potential to erupt into pandemics, including more than 160 novel coronaviruses. The initiative, called PREDICT, also trained and supported staff in 60 foreign laboratories — including the Wuhan lab that identified SARS-CoV-2, the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19. So, thanks Donnie Boy. You condemned us all.
