GUITAR PLAYER LOOKING TO THE FUTURE

Well, as the title states....im sick of being a bedroom guitar player. A little about me: 34 years old. I can play guitar, bass, drums, etc...but mainly I stick to guitar. Been playing guitar for 20+ years I'm a Parent. I love all kinds of music (except modern country. Outlaw country is ok) but in particular I love rock/blues music. Pretty vague, I know. But that's because it varies for the variating degrees of rock that exist. I can also work with other genres such as hip hop/rap, punk etc. I have pro gear, a job and a car. Based on these bullet points, what I'm looking for is something steady musically. I want to either start up or join either a cover or tribute band. I want to rehearse regularly and I want to gig a few times a month if possible. I DONT want to get in a group or start one with folks 20 years older than me. I also hope to work with like minded individuals. If there is anyone out there that is in a group that needs guitar or if you want to start something from the ground up, I'm putting myself out there to you. If a tribute band, play the hits and some obscures. Learn most if not all their discography. Give the followers an experience. If a cover band, reach far and wide. Maybe take a song and rework it and make it our own cover. Give the followers a show. Cover band doesn't end with one group so you can make it interesting and even throw in a few randos...crowd pleasers, if you will...Or specific requests. etc. Go from Ed Sheeran to Ozzy Osbourne. or Greatful dead to Blink 182. Chuck berry to John Mayer. Elvis to Eminem. As you can see, it can be as wide as it needs to be. But that makes it fun! Both options have opportunities to make money, if so desired. Lets talk! But more importantly, let's rock! Also, I apologize for making you sit and read through this rant. I'll make up for it with jams.
