Hello Mentlegens and Dalies, Folk of all kin and feather, This here notice is an open call - to most all interested musicans and improviseurs - for the purpose of banding together to improvise and play sorts of free music, privately and publicly performing at times. This music club shall be dubbed 'Oort & the Improv Cloud' And may gather in places to perform music collectively and to encourage each other through mutual musical engagement, sorts of live practice As the Cloud drifts and exists, I would hazard to suggest that potentially those who find themselves with challenges or questions should be able to confer with experienced players for good advice or ideas. At times we may implement different forms, groupings and ideas to keep things changing and fresh. I will throw my hat around as MC for a while as we get this rolling and I assume eventually other leaders will grow and come up to assist. One thing I think we may have to organize is having separate sets or different dates for Acoustic group and Amplified group. Even with in these we may have to subdivide further to accomodate the innate needs of various instruments. And there is always room for experimentation Anywho, if going and playing in a woodshed open jam and/or public improv performances sounds interesting to you, please respond to this ad with what you play and what sort of town or county area you would be able to meet up. Also include any details on whether you would bring Acoustic or Amplified instrument capability or Both. If mingled skill levels becomes an issue, we can break off in to groups of roughly similar skill levels. Come and join the space coral reef that is Oort & the Improv Cloud!
