Description

I am a guitarist, flutist and a composer who's spent most of his life learning music from different parts of the world. I went to Brazil and studied with arguably the most advanced guitarist on the planet, harmonically and technically - Marcus Tardelli. I even took classes at the Ali Akbar College of Music with the son of Ali Akbar Khan - sarode maestro Alam Khan. I have my bachelors of Arts in Music Composition and Jazz from UC San Diego. I love teaching and sharing knowledge. I combine the fundamentals of western music harmony with improvisational aspects of North Indian raga and South Indian rhythms (konnkol) to help give you a firm musical foundation from where to develop your own unique musical voice. I teach all age groups and different competency levels and custom design lesson plans to individual goals and tastes.
