BOAT CAPTAIN Seeking a US Coast Guard licensed captain to operate an inspected charter fishing boat on Clearwater Beach. Position requires a minimum 25 ton USCG master's license, at least some experience in offshore fishing, be clean cut, possess good people skills,  be dependable and timely Marine radio operator’s permit can be obtained. (OUPV licensed candidate part time only)   .   Duties include: (but not limited to) Safely operate vessel including docking, anchoring, fishing and navigating. Share duties with deckhand setting up vessel prior to departure, clean fish and vessel after each charter. Assure customer safety at all times, boarding and at sea. Ability to maintain vessel (some mechanical aptitude desired) Daily Vessel Inspection: Electrical / light test. Check vessel’s diesel engine oil and service water and fuel filters. Check bilge pump(s). Certify that PFD’s, fire extinguishers and other safety equipment are present and accessible. Be able to follow county, state and federal laws and guidelines.  Be willing and able to work with instructions from management.   Drug free, pre-employment drug test required. Pay based on experience, gratuities split 50/50 with deckhand. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Please send a brief resume or list of qualifications for consideration.
