Found Lost Goat, died

Saturday approx 12:00 pm on Haleakala Hwy about 1 mile below Kula Lodge. Two bikers were crouched over something in one of the Ranch pullouts. I pulled over to see if they needed something. What they were crouched over was a nice looking young Billy goat, maybe 1yo. Brown and black with a mil-tape collar. It was seemed hurt and definitely overheating from being down in the hot gravel. I took it home and cooled it off and it readily took 100+cc of water via syringe drench. It cooled down and improved for awhile but still could not get up to stand. It took more water, but condition steadily worsened over the afternoon. We suspect it got hit by a car on the highway. Injuries were internal, severe, and we're not compatible width sustaining goat life. He never regained use of his forelegs. And he died. Sorry about your goat. Figured to post this in case someone is looking. He now stays in our garden with the flowers. We would have preferred to be looking for his house for repatriation instead of posting a death notice. Again, sorry.
