The Foghorn Stringband is the present day gold standard for real-deal hard-hitting genuine old-time American string band music. September 9th - American roots music is a diverse and never-ending well of inspiration. Foghorn Stringband continually and obsessively draws from old-time, bluegrass, classic country, and Cajun music traditions. They have an ongoing quest to present a broad span of American historical music with an unparalleled youthful energy, joy, and virtuosity. This band blew me away last time they played the Hall. Hunker and serves area residents, visitors, and school children by promoting historic preservation, maintaining archives, preserving artifacts, and providing tours of our historic buildings. Our mission is to preserve the heritage, maintain the character and promote the vitality of Peninsula, Ohio and the Cuyahoga Valley by engaging the community through arts and educational programming and historic preservation.
