Description

Hi I’m looking for people I’d get along with and see eye to eye with on music. I’m about the music, I love all kinds, I’m serious about it, I’ve worked hard at it, and I’m trying to find people into the same stuff that I will get along with. Hope to make a band but I think finding someone I get along with would be the best first step. So if what I’m saying resonates with you please reach out and let’s chat. I am a bassist primarily but I can fake it on other instruments. I LOVE improvising and jamming but I have a love for a good song as well. My favorite bands/artists include Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, Medeski Martin and Wood, Sun Ra, Derek Bailey, Ornette Coleman, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, John Cage, Arnold Schoenberg, Little Richard, John Coltrane, Primus, Ramones, Descendents, Operation Ivy. I’m all over the place and I try to keep an open ear to anything. I don’t like pretentiousness but I can come off elitist. I don’t think of myself as elitist but I like to work hard as I can at music and really push for excellence. I studied classical music in college. I try to encourage any skill level and will play with anybody but I don’t like to waste my time with people who don’t take the craft seriously and don’t want to work. Not saying I’m wanting people who are workaholics, just someone who knows and respects how deep the difficulty of making even the simplest music can be. Here is some stuff I homebrew recorded with my limited production skills and gear: https://nathanclark.bandcamp.com/ Lot’s of different stuff so feel free to poke around. Also here is a more singer songwriter thing I put on Spotify by myself mixing and producing alone. https://open.spotify.com/track/3uoWUkf48gbxRPiWzA9HQL?si=peeLZoq2QjOxBnySngx8TQ&dl_branch=1 I do write songs, I also like to come up with instrumental compositions and experimentations. I like to collaborate but I don’t like one sided affairs. I don’t like being in a situation where I just play other people’s music and they aren’t capable of learning anything I come up with. I’m looking for teamwork and comradery. If you got through all this thanks for taking the time to read it. If you get what I’m about and can relate, are a serious musician in it for the love of music then let’s see if we can be friends. Nate
