Join us to learn how to make three different mini cakes! Join Dawn Alston of Ravy Cakes, LLC competitor on Food Networks Wedding Cake Championship, for a fun & creative cake and buttercream workshop! We will create 3, three-layered mini cakes such as, Strawberry Shortcake, Birthday Cake, & Cookies n Cream! In this class we will work with a variety of buttercreams such as Swiss Meringue Buttercream, Italian Meringue Buttercream, & Whipped Cream. The students will also learn how to fill the cakes, piping techniques, and additional cake decorating tips. This is a great opportunity to learn how to create these buttercreams and to perfect your piping skills. This class is great for beginners! All items and tools needed to decorate will be provided for use during the class only. Additionally, Chef Dawn will provide each participant with a 6-inch and an 8-inch, two-layered cake to decorate. A cake box will be provided to take the cake home in. All students are eligible for a 5% discount on purchases at Fran's on the day of class.  Available for students ages 16+. Class requires a minimum of 4 students and there is a maximum of 8. In the event of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund. Changes and cancellations...we know life happens so we try our best to be flexible while being fair to our instructors who purchase supplies and bake for each student. Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made at least 5 days prior to the class. If you need to cancel after 5 days but at least 48 hours in advance, we can offer you a credit for a future class. We cannot offer any credits for cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled class. In response to the pandemic, we have modified our class space in order to maintain proper social distancing. Face coverings are required during the class. If you forget yours, we have disposable face masks that you can use. We also have plenty of hand sanitizer for use during the class. This fee is already included in the price of the class. In the event that you request a refund for any reason, this fee is non-refundable. In the event that the class is cancelled, the Eventbrite fee will be refunded.
