Description
This KarmaSue counseling workshop provides an opportunity to reflect on your human-animal connection with like minded friends. KarmaSue’s mission is to provide education, counseling, and financial support to Coloradan families that have companion animals living with cancer in an effort to honor the human-animal connection. Let's take a moment to breathe and reflect on our human-animal connections, both past and present. Whether you have lost a companion animal to cancer, are currently enduring companion animal cancer, or simply want to celebrate the bond you have with your pet, please join us for a morning in our own backyard. Explore nature on your own or with a group, then connect with others that have had or are now going through the same experiences you had/have with your pet. We all need a moment to breathe, ground ourselves, and restore our energy to continue on; we hope this experience will do just that for you. We will provide light snacks prior to and after the experience. You will also have a chance to share your reflections and stories with the small group as you feel comfortable; this portion will be led by the KarmaSue Crew (Reminder: We are advocates, not professionals. Should you need the support of a professional counselor, we are happy to assist you in finding one). You are welcome to bring a human friend and/or a leashed dog with you on this journey; just let us know when you RSVP (please note that dogs are not allowed on the Mini Incline if you choose to take that challenge). We will meet at The Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park; it is adjacent to the Millhouse. Feel free to park wherever you'd like and let us know if you have questions. We will be outdoors and will follow the CDC guidelines to ensure everyone has a safe and supportive experience. If you are sick or symptomatic, please stay home. If you are unvaccinated, partially vaccinated, or would like to, please wear a mask. This workshop is free of charge for those enduring companion animal cancer and/or want to strengthen their human-animal connection. Please note that we intentionally keep these counseling workshops small to ensure we provide a safe space for those that participate. Please register now to reserve your space. If you like what we do and want to help us continue our work, please feel free to make a donation, via Eventbrite (Donation ticket), Facebook, Venmo, and PayPal but it is not required. All donations received will go towards supporting Coloradan families enduring companion animal cancer. KarmaSue’s mission is to provide education, counseling, and financial support to Coloradan families that have companion animals living with cancer in an effort to honor the human-animal connection.
