Take your fizzy water obsession to the next level! In this class you'll learn to make your own thirst quenching shrubs. Shrubs for Quenching Your Summer Thirst - Learn to Make Your OwnIn Person Class!Shrubs are a very old and historical form of fruit preservation, that are also very current. So thirst quenching on a hot day - perfect for summer! If you own a Sodastream or other seltzer maker, get ready to take your fizzy water obsession to a new level! In this class we'll learn a group of techniques to make your own shrub concentrates to add to your seltzer. Of course you could also add them into your cocktails and liqueurs, too 😉 You'll learn 2 different techniques to make these thirst quenching beverages! You can make one or both, but the class is definitely designed for you to work along with me. Summer is in full swing! We'll make: Melon & Plum Shrubs from fresh fruit and Pineapple Shrub from unsweetened juice The techniques you will learn in this workshop can be utilized with a whole range of other fruits, too. This will just the beginning for you! I have been making and teaching liqueur-making for 20+ years. I've made liqueurs professionally for restaurants and have won multiple ribbons for them at the Alameda County Fair in California. I'm a former organic farmer & a former sommelier. For many years I worked for Fair Food Philadelphia as their Volunteer Coordinator & Co-Manager of their retail Farmstand at Reading Terminal Market. Currently I have a small urban garden and raise backyard chickens. Pre-registration is required, and class is $34.99 per person. **There is a $5 discount on EACH class if you take both this class and the Liqueur Class later in the day! Choose the "Combo" ticket to receive the discount.
