Our approach to teaching math is similar in many ways and makes learning addictive. This and other such techniques are not new. Over 30 years ago, Singapore implemented a new pedagogy in teaching math based on academic research on learning theories. This had an outsized impact on how Singapore students performed in international benchmarks of math achievement such as TIIMS and PISA. From middling performance before 1995, Singapore students shot to the top of the table and have stayed there ever since. We are bringing this multi-award wining thinking math program to Chicago.
