Our fall Conversation in the Studio series continues with a talk about how the Schweikher House was saved from imminent destruction.
Susan Benjamin, historic preservationist and author of Modern in the Middle, will describe her efforts to save Schweikher House from imminent destruction through conversation with Schweikher House historian, Dan Fitzpatrick. The story begins with the nomination for recognition by the National Register for Historic Preservation and continues today with its ownership by the Village of Schaumburg and stewardship by the Schweikher House Preservation Trust.
