Just for the fun of it. This class will start at the very beginning. Different types of music are used. Line dancing is 'Simeon Says' to music. It consists of choreographed dances with repeating sequences of steps. The instructor will cue you through those steps as they are demonstrated. This class will start with the very basic steps & add more moves each week. Done without partners, everyone dances the same steps, in the same direction. Different rhythms & types of music are used. Noncompetitive, it is an easy, fun combination of music & motion. You need to be able to walk at a rapid pace and change directions quickly. Layered, comfortable clothing with smooth soled shoes. Smiles required. Spokane Area Council of Square Dancers is an organization of 21 square, round and folk dance clubs in the inland empire our purpose is: 1. To promote a spirit of friendship and tolerance among people through dance and fellowship; 2. to assist in the formation and development of square, round and folk dance groups; 3. to represent square, round and folk dancing activities as wholesome and recreational to the highest standard; 4. to promote square, round and folk dancing functions to the general public. Our goal is to have fun dancing with many people.   We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 educational corporation.
