Description

*In person class* Our Newborn Care 101 class discusses the specifics of newborn care, allowing couples to practice on an infant doll. -(BB) Often touted as our "most fun" class, Newborn Care 101 is an interactive program covering the specifics of newborn care. The class will cover bathing, temperature-taking, newborn reflexes and behavior, common newborn appearances, soothing and more. Our instructor will model swaddling, dressing, and diapering and all participants will have the option to practice using an infant doll model. If you would like to practice these techniques, infection control policies require that you bring your own baby items: - We will not be providing newborn clothes and swaddles for shared use. If couples do choose to use an infant doll model to practice, we ask that you bring your own newborn clothes and swaddling blankets. - We will be providing dolls, gloves, and disinfecting wipes. All dolls will be sanitized prior to your class. The health and safety of our patients, families, and staff are important to us. As part of our response to COVID-19, we continue to follow safe practices from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Some of these practices include wearing a mask and screening for COVID-19. Please reference this handout to learn what you should expect when taking an in-person class with us. As with all of our classes, we encourage you to attend with your partner. During registration, one ticket allows for the two of you to attend together.
