FT help needed managing potbellied pigs at a premiere potbelly pig sanctuary in a remote area of Marana, AZ. We are looking for full-time employees to assist with integrating new pigs into established herds. This requires someone willing to work outside, in direct contact with animals, standing for long periods of time, as well as running and walking, when needed, to ensure their safety while being introduced into new herds. Must be sharp minded, responsive, and very quick on your feet. No experience necessary, we will train. Must be willing to approach and break up scuffles (with the proper equipment), be alert and quick to respond when unwanted behavior occurs, willing and able to determine the more dominant pigs and keep a watchful eye even when there are longer periods of low activity. This is a full time position, working 5 days a week, including at least one weekend day and possible holidays. We have two shifts available: 6A - 2P and 8A - 4P. Positions will be starting Monday, August 2nd, please be prepared to report to work Monday for a short shift (10A - 4P) to learn the position, see the sanctuary and get your schedule for the remainder of the week. We are located in a remote area of Marana - reliable transportation is required and we are not on a public transportation route. Apply via email by sending a letter of interest.
