Description

Caregivers need a break to stay mentally healthy enough to provide care. A time for respite, recharge and connect with others. When you fly on an airplane, flight attendants instruct you to put your oxygen mask on first, before helping the person seated next to you. Why? Because if you run out of oxygen, you can’t help anyone else with their oxygen mask. Military and veteran caregivers, if you don’t take care of yourself, you can experience burnout, stress, and a number of other issues. On Saturday October 2, we invite you to "put your oxygen mask on first" and join us for a day of respite and self-care. The day will feature self-care focused activities, special guest speakers, time to connect with a community of caregivers, and other fun activities. Breakfast, lunch and refreshments will be provided, along with exciting raffle prizes. This year we are welcoming AUTHOR author of TITLE OF BOOK who will be speaking briefly and then signing her book. Guest speakers include Dr. Corine, VA Transition Care Management Team If you have any questions, please contact Michelle Bassett, EDF Nevada Dole Fellow-email: [email protected], phone: (405) 220-6096 or [email protected]
