An engaging tour of downtown Baltimore focusing on the city’s role in the Civil War. A professionally guided walking tour of Civil War sites in downtown Baltimore. The tour commences at the Baltimore Civil War Museum on President Street - located in what was the old Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Railroad terminus, itself the starting point of the Baltimore Riot on April 19, 1861, the so-called “first blood of the Civil War.” This walking tour is easy/moderate difficulty, covering approximately 1.5 miles through an urban environment. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended and please dress for the weather.
