WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — You may not want to put your mask away just yet. On Friday, Western Springs became the latest government entity to require that everyone, even those fully vaccinated, to wear masks in Village Hall and all other municipal buildings. The order takes effect Sunday. In announcing the decision, the village cited data showing that coronavirus transmission rates had reached a "substantial" level in Cook and DuPage counties. Federal officials are calling the current situation a "pandemic of the unvaccinated."
