Press release from the Chicago Public Library: July 30, 2021 We're rolling out Sunday hours at more CPL locations beginning August 1st. Throughout 2021, we'll continue to roll out Sunday hours in all 81 locations. Starting this week, these branches will be open 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday: Albany Park Austin Avalon Back of The Yards Brighton Park Budlong Woods Chicago Lawn Chinatown Douglass Dunning Edgewater Hall Independence Jefferson Park Little Italy Mayfair Merlo Mt. Greenwood Northtown Portage-Cragin Richard M. Daley South Chicago South Shore Toman Vodak-East Side West Belmont West Pullman Whitney M. Young, Jr. Harold Washington Library Center, Sulzer Regional, Woodson Regional, and Legler Regional are also already open on Sundays. Expanding Sunday hours is part of an ongoing effort by CPL and the Mayor's Office to ensure library services are more equitable and accessible for all Chicagoans.
