Description
About Zeus:
Basics and Behavior:
He was born in September of 2018 (exact date unknown).
He is great with people, including children. He may give a couple of barks at new people; however, he warms up quickly.
He is house trained…meaning he will not get on counters, mess with garbage, or tear up furniture or carpet when left alone.
He is crate and potty trained…a new companion will have to show him where you want him to go…
He would do best as a only pet although he gets along with my female Shepherd.... their first meeting was tense.
Zeus loves rides in the car….no car sickness or whining.
Zeus would not be a good companion in a house with small pets (cats or dogs). He plays too rough with smaller dogs. I have no idea how he would react to cats.
He will sit on command and loves to shake paws. He is also a huge cuddler.
Zeus is a little behind on his training…He seems to enjoy learning new things and does best with reward training…
Health:
I feed him no grain food and he does well.
He has pancreatic insufficiency…treated with ¼ teaspoon of probiotic powder once a day with his feeding…the powder is inexpensive considering how long it lasts.
He is neutered and all vaccinations are up to date.
Prior History:
I rescued him from a bad situation knowing I would rehome him. My place is too small and he needs a yard.
He received successful treatment for ear infections, intestinal infection, and malnutrition at the time.
His previous owners used a shock collar and I suspect other rash methods were used.
I will provide initial food, a food bin, food bowl, dog bed, harness, leash, water bowl, and his favorite toy
