cat w hyperthyroidism

Description

I have been caring for some cats and one has been getting very thin in the past few months. I was worried and got her to the vet where they did a blood test and turns out she has hyperthyroidism. My owner is 87 and I will need to move very soon and I cannot take her w me. I myself am disabled and am already caring for an 18 yr. old cat w kidny disease. I wanted to put her down at the vets because she only weighs 6 pounds at this point and I am sure she is probably suffering. I am giving her pills which are $20 a month, cheap and thyroid food but when I move she will just be left outside with noone to care for her. Don't put her down everyone said but noone stepped up to care for her in any way and I am very sad for her. 5, 4, 3 pounds when will her heart give out? Then I had a thought maybe someone who already has a cat w the same issue will want to take her in or even just someone with a big heart will want to save her life. She has been staying outside with her cat friends. So she will be a skittish at first. I will need to bring her in a box because I took her to the vet w a woman who she didn't know who kept her contained for three days. Anyway she is light orange very pretty and I have named her Ms. Orangina. Most important, she is very sweet and w/ time I know she will come to love her guardian and very much appreciate being cared for. She takes her pill easily if you crush it and mix it in her food. I will wait a bit to put her down, but as soon as I get the word that the owner is selling or she goes down to 5 pounds I need to put her down. Can you help?
