Please Sew on a button for me

I’m looking a volunteer who knows how to sew a single button on a pair of shorts I never learned how to end the sewing of a button and it always unravels if I try to do it. The ending is the most important part and since I can’t master that I’d like to just find someone of a caregiving nature who might gladly sew the button on for me for the basic reward of helping someone in need If there are any reading this who genuinely enjoy helping others as it’s own reward and knows also how to sew a button on a pair of a shorts and who is already in Portland and could visit the Eastern Prom for us to sit to do this for a few minutes please respond I picked up these shorts at Salvation Army and have tried a number of other methods (safety pins, duct tape & velco) which failed miserably so the age old real solution is really the only one which needs to be deployed here but unfortunately not by me or my hands Please someone help!
