Looking for others who reached some sort of enlightenment and experienced sudden shock at the fact of being alive, at all of this being possible, and the fear of the unknown that ensued after that experience. Because of this, I've lost a lot of curiosity for the regular world around us, and my mind is now obsessed with finding things beyond our knowledge, and even beyond our direct perception of reality. I want to venture beyond the 5 physical senses and experience the surreal. A few hundred years ago, we could not see microscopic entities. We did not know what matter consists of. We did not know about invisible radiation. Just because we cannot see these things does not mean they do not exist...and so, we might not know what more is out there...except the fact that there is infinite knowledge to be gained of this world and beyond. I can't, and refuse to, be just another person born to live in a pre-formed, society and rule-based existence. Take all of this away, and what are we? That's the big question. We're too busy partaking in a mundane, socially-established way of life - the human experience - that our minds can never expand to question the "why" of everything. Science can explain "how", but, as a general consensus, no one can explain "why"; the majority of people will never even comprehend the question "why" to be able to ask it. I would like to meet people from all walks of life...from physicists to metaphysicists. Those who were able to alter their consciousness through natural and unnatural means, those who gained insight into what is unseen or not sensed by the rest of people. I don't know where else to post a message like this, so here we go.
