Job Description General laborer / Residential construction Root Construction is looking to add another team member to our construction family. Most of our projects are in the Los Angeles area (typical locations include Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Hollywood Hills, Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Calabasas, Studio City, Etc.) The ideal candidate will be a hands on construction worker at the job sites, who reports directly to either the assistant Superintendent, Senior Superintendent or Assistant Project Manager. We are looking for someone that has worked in the construction field before and is possibly interested in learning more and potentially moving up the ladder into skilled trades. There is always room for future growth and advancement within the company. Desired Skills and experience: Concrete foundation work experience Light demolition Excavation and trenching job site traffic control assisting trades when needed Knowledge of all standard construction tools, equipment, machinery, methods and procedures Abel to lift at least 50lbs Prompt and on time to work each day Dependable & Reliable Spanish speaking skills a plus Job Requirements: unloading and loading building materials Trenching and light excavation Organizing site equipment and keeping materials and tools in order Assisting Carpenters when needed Could be working at several different construction sites throughout the work month. Maintain a professional appearance at all times and have a positive relationship with customers, contractors and other employees. Maintain safe worksites Communicate well with team members, project managers and other subcontractors/ trades Must have a valid California Drivers License Must be eligible to work in the US Must have own reliable vehicle This is a full time position, Monday through Friday, for a standard 8 hr shift Job Type: Full-time Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
