help my grandfathers ww2 flag was stolen

my deceased veteran grandfather who fought in the Battle of the Bulge had his service flag that was given to him in World War II stolen in a home robbery...it was a 48-star Valley Forge original flag given to veterans. it meant a lot to my famly and most of all myself as he was my lifelong hero and bestfriend...the house was broken into and amongst the many things stolen that was one of the most important endearing items taken I have no idea how to replace it nor do I have the money to buy one off of eBay not to mention it also could be stolen as well and most of all not my voos.... this country truly is falling apart when somebody would steal such an honorable item. I'm at my Wit's end I don't know what else to do..i was hoping somebody out there must know how to help..please
