This opportunity is for Gateway Park Apartments, a two-story garden style apartment community with 144 one, two and three-bedroom apartments. The community serves residents with incomes between 50 percent and 60 percent of area median income. Located at the intersection of NE 100th Avenue and Glisan Street, Gateway Park is close to freeway access. This is a full time, 40-hour/week position. Scheduled working hours are Monday -- Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Job Description: - Review punch list and complete items in a timely manner or as instructed - Participate in meetings and training sessions as required - Complete all resident maintenance/repair requests in a timely and professional manner - Utilize a P.O. system for purchases - Accompany all necessary building inspections and walk-throughs for owners, management staff, brokers, appraisers and other interested parties - Be available during established on-call schedule every other week - oversee one other maintenance technician - Assist landscape contractor with grounds maintenance, seasonal pool maintenance and upkeep - Maintain and monitor interior and exterior common area cleanliness including but not limited to: snow and ice removal, landscaping, litter patrol, laundry rooms, parking lots, garbage areas, etc. The successful applicant will be knowledgeable in all aspects of apartment maintenance including: - Turnover work - Repairs including basic electrical and plumbing - Turnover and common area painting Additionally, the successful applicant must: - Have two years apartment maintenance experience - Work with residents in a professional manner - Possess strong communication and leadership skills - Have excellent time management and organizational skills - Be able to work with little supervision - Have valid driver's license, vehicle and insurance - Have a basic set of hand and electric tools Knowledge of building systems, alarms, and preventative maintenance are all preferred. A pre-employment background check and drug screen are required on all final candidates.
