ISO: Conure to LOVE

Looking for a Conure to add to our family. Its just my 4 year old and myself. He is really good with our birds and doesnt see them as toys or pets. He also leaves them alone and occasionally theyll step up for him if they’ve landed on or near him. They have a couple different areas (the whole little house lol) to play and only sleep in their cage at night which even then is left open but lightly covered. Ideally I would like a cockatoo or an African grey but those are my dream birds and completely out of my budget. My goal for finishing school. I have PTSD and Generalized Anxiety disorder from a shooting at the minit mart I worked at. We’ve had parakeets for about a year but I just really would love to have a little bit bigger birdie bird. Obviously I’m not super experienced but people have to start somewhere. I’ve asked around to a couple rescues but I seem to get the run around or just nothing. We have 2 old dogs (12+ lab and chihuahua) and and one 1.5 YO lab all super friendly dont really want much to do with the birds not bothered either way by them. With my princess doggo being older I would like to get another companion. I have patience and I am always home. I am not a “flipper” or breeder or any of that stuff. All my pets have been rescues except the parakeets and my sons doggo (still a mutt though) I have a couple hundred bucks. Not in a giant hurry as it will happen when it happens. Our parakeets sing and chirp and strut. They like to be around but not close or on us. I think they’ll likely stay the 3 amigos and super spoiled but I find myself singing and dancing with them. No joke. They have zero squaks to give when I’m so off tune (always lol) We have a house been here almost 5 years. No plans to move anytime soon and never without my loves.
