Description

Located in Raleigh, NC near Cary, NC This is Stormy. She needs a better home than we can currently provide her. It was never our intention to get a dog, we aren't ready for the responsibility, especially living in a small apartment. My boyfriend's ex begged for her and than abandoned her when they broke up. Stormy is a beautiful and wonderful dog. She turned 4 years old in April of this year. She is up to date on her shots until November of next year, and she is spayed. She's very good when it comes to bath time, new people/kids, gets along with other dogs and she loves cats. There are only 2 things I can think of that would be considered negative about this dog. She doesn't like having her nails trimmed. She either needs someone with patience to train her to be alright with this at home, or someone willing to take her to a professional when needed. She never gets mean or aggressive, but she wiggles a LOT and she's a strong dog so it's difficult unless you are strong and have help. The other thing is that if she gets loose, she's a runner. She has lots of energy and she loves to run, she thinks it's a game and you're chasing her. So it's important to make sure she's always on a leash when in an unsecured area. She will come with all of her things which include her kennel (food & water dishes attached), Kong extreme, Kong extreme bone, rope toy, fire hose lizard, remaining dog food/air tight food container, 2 months of flea treatment, nail trimmer & nail grinder, her collar and leash. She'll also come with her latest vet records and if you want to call her vet to have them call us to confirm transfer of ownership and have her records faxed to your vet, that's something we're happy to do as well. There is a $200 rehoming fee. The last thing I'm willing to do is risk her safety and have her used as bait or in dog fighting. She will only go to a permanent, loving home with a responsible adult who has the means to care for her properly. Because she's already vetted, and comes with literally everything you would need to get started with her, this shouldn't be an issue if you're serious about wanting her, and will not be up for discussion. We would prefer she go to someone who owns a house with a secure fenced in yard, but I'm willing to consider people who rent as long as your landlord is aware and has already given permission for a dog(Pitbull) to live there, and you agree to give her time outside on walks or at a secure park, to get her energy out. I don't want her going to a similar situation she's in now, the only reason we're rehoming her is to give her a better life than we can provide. Please let me know if you're interested, I would be happy to answer any and all questions and discuss her further!
