does your dog like liver treats?

A dear friend of mine, who raises grass fed beef cattle nearby, gave me some bones and packages of liver from his herd for my dogs. My dogs loved the bones but I don't care for the smell of liver and did not know how to prepare them properly to make treats - so they sat in my freezer. The packages (probably about a pound or two) are still there a few years later and I really hate to just throw them in the trash - as they were flash frozen and sealed (no freezer burn) and still look good. If you already know that your dog(s) likes liver treats - and you know how to prepare them properly, please let me know.
