Seeking Drummer for Studio Jams

Description

Group of local musicians seeking drummer for studio jams. We have a recording studio setup with all kinds of cool instruments to explore our creative inclinations. Most of us are multi-instrumentalists, capable of following improvisations utilizing whatever instruments we are choosing to play at the moment. Sadly, we are lacking someone able to either jump into a riff and lay down an interesting beat on the drums, or lead off with a beat we can hop on. Be aware that we do not always stick to straight time, as we like to switch it up to occasionally catch each other off-guard. Mwauh ha ha! But we do run the 4/4, 3/4 stuff as well. The studio is plug and play ready, with with at least one drum kit always mike'd and ready to roll. Should you fit in, we can always setup your kit if that is your preference. We usually try to get together at least a couple times a month and record everything we play, then mix/master the stuff we feel is decent and share with all players who contributed to the tune. Here's a chance to get some practice at creative improvisation with a solid group of musicians who just love making killer sounds and get original music you can play to others. Important for you to know - We do not typically play outside gigs with this band. The studio equipment is not the kind of stuff that is easily moved. You'll understand once you see the studio. We have done outside gigs, but it requires greater planning and using more digital versus analog instruments. Do not be let down by the not generally playing out thing. We throw private parties at the studio on occasion, so there are opportunities to shine in front of a crowd. Here's the plan if you're interested - Drop me a line, we'll have a little chat to get an idea of what you are wanting out of this and where you see your music going. We'll then setup a meeting outside the studio and if we both feel it's a good fit, we'll coordinate a time to meet up at the studio and give it a go. Age or gender is not an issue. We are casual drinkers and 420 friendly (if you have a medical card). Casual does not mean raging drunk...ever.
