POSITION: Candle Production Labor REPORTS TO: Department Manager DEPARTMENT: Production FLSA: Non-exempt CLASSIFICATION: full time and part-time positions available COMPENSATION: $14.00 to $14.50 per hour THE COMPANY PGB Manufacturing manufactures religious, esoteric and decorative candles for large retailers across the US. Many of our candles are made by master chandlers (candle makers) in our advanced manufacturing facilities in Commerce, California. We sell our candles and other products through a growing nationwide base of over several company-owned retail stores. The Maintenance Mechanic is an integral part of the warehouse team and ensures all machines and mechanical equipment are working in a safe and effective manner. Alternative work week, scheduled work days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday for 10 hours each day from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm Job Description: Candle production is run on a continuously running conveyor, he or she will be working in a candle manufacturing facility performing the following job duties · Loading Glass onto the production line table · Centering the wick on the candles · Cleaning the candle on the conveyor line · Packing the finished product into their respective box · Palletizing finished cases of candles onto pallets (weighing 18 pounds) · Others tasks assigned by supervisor PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment can be loud. This position is continually active and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This is a long term position, we are looking for someone responsible, who will show up ready to work and willing to help out in all areas needed. We are not looking to fill a temporary position.
