West Knoxville property owner looking to hire 3-4 reliable General Laborers for up to a 6-month project. This project will involve general landscaping, clearing of wooded property for sod grass placement, and residential walking trail upkeep and creation, and other things as needed in the construction phase. Dependent upon experience, there is the additional possibility for general labor in the areas of light carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical and more. Pay for this role is $15.00 - $20.00 per hour - dependent upon your specific skills and experience. You must be able to successfully pass both a background check and a drug screening and have reliable transportation. General Responsibilities: • Perform routine landscaping on the grounds; • Clearing of wooded property for placement of sod grass; • Moving of rocks, dirt, and other landscaping materials to form and maintain residential walking trails and water features; • Dependent upon your skills - Assist tradespeople with carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and other tasks as needed; • Undertake duties as assigned for general labor needs on a construction site; Assist with any property maintenance as required; Skills: • Hard worker who is dependable; • Good communication ability with the ability to follow instructions as given; • Basic math skills; • Attention to detail; Additional Skills and Experience (Not Required – But a Plus if You Have!) • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or painting; • Previous construction experience as it relates to landscaping of residential walking trails and gardens; • Previous garden nursery experience; • Previous experience clearing residential property; Previous Experience Using any of the Following Equipment (Not Required – But a Plus if You Have!): • Bobcat • Track-hoe • Dingo Machine • Mini-Trackhoe • Stump Grinder Pay: $15-20 per hour. Negotiable based on experience.
