Description
We have a 5-year-old female AKC English Bulldog that we are looking to re-home. This is a very special situation and we are looking for a unique situation. Our girl is very special to us and we would never consider this option if we were able to take her with us. We will be traveling for the next 6-12 months for work and most airlines will not ship English Bulldogs. We are looking for a forever home with someone who has knowledge or experience with English Bulldogs. They are a very special breed. We are looking for a home that either has no other dogs or has submissive dogs. Though she has lived with other dogs before and did fine after some acclimation (we fostered and dog-sat), she is not usually friendly with other dogs. She suffered a few attacks from off-leash dogs at the beach when she was a puppy and never fully recovered emotionally. We are also looking for a home that does NOT have young children. Though my two children love her and she has been our family pet for 5 years, we have noticed that she can get overly excited with youngsters who visit and we would not want that to be an issue. She is a very valuable dog and has wonderful bloodlines, confirmation, and health. We have not experienced any of the “typical” health issues you commonly find in English Bulldogs. Her eyes are good, skin is healthy, and she has never had any other health problems (other than a centipede bite that swelled up her whole face). She cannot be used for breeding. She is very energetic. Not like typical bullies. She loves to run, play, go to the beach, ride in the car, and chase sticks. We are willing to waive the rehoming fee if we can find the perfect situation for her. We are asking that you be willing to take her on a 2-week trial basis, allowing us to visit 1-2 times a week, to make sure she is acclimated well and that you (and we) feel that it is a good fit. We will provide you with food during the trial period, her bed, and a leash. We also have a Dog Igloo that can go with her. We would also ask that, if for any reason in the future, you are unable to keep her, that you give us first right of refusal. Serious inquiries only. Please let us know if you are interested and if you would like to meet her. **And please don't flag this post. It is within all the regulations and our dog needs a new home. Why would anyone not want that for her???
