ADVANCED METHODS FOR OVERDENTURE SUCCESS: EFFECTIVE, EFFICIENT, AND ACCURATE WORKFLOW COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course will provide an overview of treatment options for partial to fully edentulous patients. From traditional methods to more advanced applications for removable implant-retained overdentures. This program focuses on the additional benefits for both the patient and clinician when using the gold standard of attachment systems. Topics discussed include diagnosis and treatment planning with failing or terminal dentition, patient and component selection, processes, techniques, and views on different retention modalities with clinical cases. HANDS-ON INCLUDES: Armamentarium review, Surgical placement of 2 implants in a mandibular model, chairside pick-up of overdentures, and Massad Impression Techniques for lab fabrication. LEARNING OBJECTIVES: 1. Case Evaluation- Measuring, abutment selection, Impressions, and Denture options 2. Case Acceptance 3. Instructions on the surgical techniques for placing narrow- diameter implants. 4. Overdenture workflow on 2, 4, or 6 implants. 5. Observation of a LIVE Restorative procedure 6. Currently, he holds faculty positions at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Mass; the department of Comprehensive Dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio, Tex; Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Restorative Dentistry, Loma Linda University, Associate Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics, the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Dentistry, Memphis, Tennessee, and Clinical Assistant Professor, University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, Oklahoma City, OK. He has previously held a faculty position at the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine Oklahoma, is a past Director of Removable Prosthodontics at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry in Arizona (2006 to 2010), from 1992 to 2003 was an associate faculty at the Pankey Institute in Florida.
