Lady STEM is proud to announce the Inaugural Back-to-School Brunch! Lady STEM was created due to the lack of presence dedicated to women, especially women of color, who embark into STEM fields. As a STEM graduate (Chemical Engineering), I increasingly noticed while other industries such as journalism, nursing, sports, etc., were being recognized, an important and necessary industry was missing from the dialogue. The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields are crucial to our livelihood. Lady STEM strives to create opportunities for girls & women interested in STEM fields. This Back-to-School season, Lady STEM will be hosting their Inaugural Back-to-School Brunch. The hope is that parents, teachers, students, community leaders, and others will have an opportunity to relax and be encouraged for the upcoming school year. History has shown us that education is the key to success and we must continue to pour into our youth, inside & outside of the classroom! Lady STEM strives to be brand that gives back to those who need it most. We are asking that attendees of this brunch donate Back-to-School supplies to be donated to a local school in Franklin County. Our hope is that students will be able to focus on their studies without the burden of not having the needed supplies.
