Description
Come hear how God sustained Gracia and her husband Martin through a year of being hostages in the Philippines.
Gracia Burnham is coming to Albuquerque! And she has quite the testimony to share. In case you aren’t familiar with it, she and her husband Martin (missionaries in the Philippines where he was a pilot) were celebrating their anniversary at an island resort in May 2001. In the middle of the night, an Islamic terrorist group, the Abu Sayyaf took them and several others hostage and dragged them around the jungles of the Philippines for over a year, demanding ransom, even killing one. In a rescue attempt on June 7, 2002, Martin was killed and Gracia was wounded, but rescued. Since then, God has opened many doors around the world for her to share her story about His faithfulness and her healing. She has written two books, In The Presence Of My Enemies and To Fly Again. She has a powerful testimony that God has used to challenge many in their faith walk with the Lord.
During her time in ABQ, Gracia will be sharing her story on Friday evening, September 3, from 7-8:30 pm at Hope Church, 4710 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE. Invite your friends, as no doubt, many remember this tragic event, prayed for the Burnhams and would love to hear her story. There is no charge to attend. A love offering will be taken. Books will also be available for purchase. Doors will open at 6:30. Children are welcome however there will not be childcare.
Mark your calendar and plan to join Gracia for an encouraging and faith building evening.
Surprised and shocked by the grace of God at age 25. Fell in love with Jesus then and more so now as the day of His return draws closer.
