The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) is hosting a statewide summit on the future of K-12 education in the Commonwealth. The 2021 Kentucky Education Summit is the first of its kind in the Commonwealth. The two-day summit will pull in some of our nation’s education reform leaders to help assist us as we build a stronger education system with high standards for all of our children in Kentucky. Confirmed speakers include: Pedro Noguera, Ph.D., dean of the University of Southern California's Rossier School of Education. and Rick Hess, Ph.D., director of education policy studies at the American Enterprise InstituteTony Wagner, Ph.D., senior research fellow at the Learning Policy InstituteLinda Darling-Hammond, Ed.D., Charles E. Ducommun Professor of Education Emeritus at the Stanford Graduate School of EducationJacqueline Coleman, 58th lieutenant governor of Kentucky and secretary of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.Jason E.
