A comprehensive writing conference with five speakers offering information on writing for publication and the publication process. Many people have written words down on paper to create a story, but then they don't know what to do with it. Let us help! The topic of this conference is Sending Your Baby Out into the World. It will be chock full of information for traditionally published authors, self-published authors, and soon-to-be published authors. This will be our most comprehensive conference yet as our five speakers will share thoughts on getting started writing for publication, what to consider during the book publication process, plus old and new marketing ideas for after you send your book into the world. We’ll finish the day with a panel discussion so attendees can ask questions about the writing and publishing process. Lunch, snacks, and drinks are included. This year, we are also offering the option of purchasing a USB flash drive with the recorded talks from the speakers along with the handouts used during the conference. If you are not able to attend in person, this is a great option and you can attend the conference from the comfort of your own home! If you do attend in person, it is often difficult to catch all of the information being shared. Purchasing the USB is a perfect solution so that you review it at your leisure. ICAN exists to promote, educate, and encourage authors with a heart for writing. ICAN is goal-minded to reach out to the unpublished as well as the published author.All guest speakers, presenters, or vendors must fit the guidelines and approval of the Executive Committee. The ICAN will be unanimous on the approval for any addition or change to these guidelines. The ICAN Event Directors (Carol Kjar, JoEllen Claypool, Carol Peterson, and Mary Vine) offer book coaching, social media training, and private instruction for writing, publication, and marketing.
