An evening of songs, stories and soundscapes featuring the Vocal Few with special guest Brandon Armstrong The VOCAL FEW are an American folk pop husband and wife duo, consisting of Matt and Kristie MacDonald, from Seattle, Washington, and they are vaccinated and coming to living rooms this summer for the first time since 2018 on the READY TO GO TOUR, a title welcoming the end of quarantine and lockdowns, and the rekindling of community and camaraderie. Tickets are limited to each space capacity, so grab tickets and come hang out! Special guest musician and opening act Brandon Armstrong is a U.S. Army musician who just recently completed a tour with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Band who is no stranger to the stage at the Beacon. Come early so you don't miss his set! The doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the music starts at 7 p.m. This event will be emceed by Angie Cooper of Wild Honey. This is a special event for the community sponsored by Swansboro UMC in celebration of the 150 year anniversary of ministry in our community. Note: This is a ticketed event. Tickets are required. All seating is general admission. Swansboro United Methodist Church is located in the "Friendly City by the Sea", Swansboro, North Carolina, and we welcome all to join us on Sunday for one of our worship services. Currently, our in-person worship services are on a modified schedule.  Our Daymark (Blended) worship service is at 8:30 a.m., and our Traditional worship service is at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary Building (Bldg. 2). Our Beacon (Contemporary) worship service is at 10:30 a.m. in the Ministry Center (Bldg. 3). Sunday school is offered from 9:40 a.m. until 10:25 a.m.  All services take place on the church campus at 665 W. Corbett Ave. near the intersection of Old Hammocks Beach Rd. and NC-24 in the Town of Swansboro.
