2-day training to encourage the use of a racial equity framework to improve outcomes for survivors of domestic violence Culture Matters: Improving Outcomes for Survivors of Domestic Violence through Racial Equity The goal of this 2-day training, on September 14th and 15th, is to promote the use of a racial equity framework to improve outcomes for survivors of domestic violence and their children. By the end of this session, participants will: Develop a shared understanding of concepts related to culture, intersectionality, and equity.Recognize the many facets of identity and how these impact relationships with others.Explore how culture and inequity influence domestic violence prevention and intervention. Be better positioned to examine the norms, values, and practices in our institutions that advantage white people and work systematically to exclude and oppress Latinx, Black, and other People of Color.Receive tools that will enable them to develop action steps to promote racial equity personally, organizationally, and in broader social change efforts.Dates and Time: Tuesday, September 14, 2021, from 9am ET to 5pm ET and Wednesday, September 15, 2021, from 9am ET to 4pm ET.
