Meditation is a powerful, ancient practice that allows you to experience peaceful mindfulness. There are many types of meditations that exist, however a sound bath meditation is an experience where one lies down while sound instruments are played. These sound instruments vibrate at a frequency that is relaxing to your physiological being. Some of the instruments include crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, drums, and gongs. The instruments help stimulate your alpha and theta brain waves. This helps you get into a peaceful state. I found this practice to be very relaxing and ultimately very healing, so in August 2020 I became a certified sound healer and started my journey, although I first began practicing meditation on a daily basis in March 2018. July 31, 2001 I lost my mother to suicide. This event will be dedicated to her memory and 50% of the proceeds will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Sound bath meditations help lower blood pressure, improve your cognitive skills, improve creativity, relieve stress, relieve pain, relieve anxiety, and help with sleep disorders. Experiencing deep rest, relaxation, and bringing balance to your energy centers is the ultimate goal of the sound bath. Join me on Saturday, August 28th from 5:00 - 6:00 PM for a sound bath meditation in Venice, CA. Come as you are, bring a yoga mat, a pillow, and wear comfy clothes. The intention of this sound bath event is to build community consciously and create a safe space for healing through meditation. Theta Brainwaves Frequency: 4-8 Hz State: Creativity, insight, dreams, reduced consciousness Delta Brainwaves Frequency: 0.5-4 Hz State: Sleep, dreaming Date: Saturday, August 28, 2021 Time: 5:00 - 6:00 PM (please arrive by 4:30 PM to allow time for parking and settling in) Location: 709 Lincoln Blvd., Venice, CA 90291 Parking: Park in the Linclon Plaza lot or on the street. What to bring: Important: Yoga mat or something comfy to lie down on, an open mind, a positive mindset. Also important, but not as much as something to lie down on: Pillow, blanket, eye mask, crystals.
