WILMINGTON, MA — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Wilmington, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Wilmington Public Schools.
The first day of school for most students in Wilmington is Wednesday, Sept. 1.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point.
According to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's most recent guidance, in-person classroom learning, five days a week is planned for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year in all school districts — including Wilmington.
This, too, is subject to change — especially as new COVID-19 cases climb due largely in part to the new delta variant.
