New York City is working with energy companies to train out-of-work public housing residents to install solar panels on the rooftops of New York City Public Housing buildings.

There's also another perk: NYCHA rents the rooftops to solar companies.
CBS Local Digital Media personalizes the global reach of CBS-owned and operated television and radio stations with a local perspective.
