NEW BERLIN, WI — Summit Clinical Laboratories reported Friday it had a 14 percent increase in positive COVID-19 cases over the past two weeks.
The clinic offers PCR testing for coronavirus in New Berlin, Delafield, Milwaukee and Northshore.
Using data gathered from all five clinics, the clinics had tested 5400 people in the past two weeks, clinic technicial Adam Jansen told Patch. Of the 5400, 756 people tested positive for COVID-19.
There has also been an increase in coronavirus testing in general; in late June and early July, only 150-200 people came in daily for testing, Jansen said. Last week, all locations saw between 600-800 people daily for testing, he added.
The clinic locations have tested about 90,000 people since they started in October of 2020, Jansen said.
