FRANKLIN, WI — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Franklin, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Franklin Public School District.
The first day of school for most students in Franklin is Sept. 1.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point.

Franklin Public School District did not require masks throughout the schools summer programs. Like last year, these policies could change any time before the first day
Here is the list of dates to know for this school year in Franklin Public Schools:
First Day: For most students in 5K-12, the first day is Sept. 1. All students in 5K-12 will attend on Sept. 3.
5K-8th Grade
Students with last names A-K report Sept 1. Students with last names L-Z report on Sept. 2.
High School
Freshman and students new to Franklin High School report on Sept. 1.
All high school students attend Sept. 2.
4K
Students in 4K will start on Sept. 7.
Breaks:
Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-29
Winter Break: December 23-31
Spring Break: March 21-25
Last Day: June 10
