Celebrate Free Comic Book Day at the Douglas County Public Library! Come by for a Free Comic Book Day celebration! A costume contest with a Juvenile, Teen, and Adult division, free crafts to make and comics related swag, Instagram photo contest, and of course, loads of free comics! There's also a rumor we will have a special web-slinging guest... All ages welcome and this is a free event at Douglas County Public Library, 6810 Selman Dr Douglasville, GA. Costume contest participants must follow these rules: Be signed up and ready by 12:30pm. No part of the costume should be removed, destroyed, or otherwise used to startle or shock other attendees. All costumes should be family friendly, nothing excessively revealing or gory. If you have large wings or other appendages for your costume, you are advised to make them detachable so that you may enjoy the library without damaging them. No live steel props allowed. (Live steel is defined by FDL as any metal object that can hold a sharp edge, whether or not it actually does.) Foam weapons are preferred-plastic weapons are allowed but must be blunt. No firearms-or any kind of projectile weapon-are allowed as costume props. Attendees may not brandish, flail, run with, or use their props in any kind of threatening manner. Posing for photos is allowed.
