Description
ARLINGTON, MA — The Arlington Senior Center is undergoing its first renovation since the 1980s. The Council on Aging and Senior Association launched a campaign to raise $300,000 to fully furnish and equip the space, which will be called the Arlington Community Center upon its completion.
Improvements will allow the center to host more workshops, provide state-of-the-art technology and offer additional and emerging programming for the community.
Due to the pandemic, the Council on Aging launched a Capital Campaign this year in lieu of the Arlington for All Ages 5K. Donations are tax-deductible through the Health and Human Services Charitable Corporation.
The building will have space for more than 2,000 residents to attend classes, enjoy cultural events, receive support from social workers, attend lunches, take fitness classes, eat meals, attend lectures, participate in book clubs and more. View details on the renovation.
The center is slated to open this fall.
