Description
We are moving out of state in a month and we need to find a new home for this sweet dog. Her name is Riley. She is a medium size dog and weighs about 40 lbs. She is spayed. We have had her since she was a puppy and she is 6+ years old. She belonged to my daughter who moved away 2 years ago. We will be moving to a rental that does not allow pets. This sweet girl is a mix of Heeler, McNab, Black Mouth Curr with a splash of hound. She is house trained and has mostly been a house dog, but she would LOVE to have a yard to run and play in. Currently, we take her outside on a leash when she needs to go out. Riley is a bit timid. She has grown up with children, but when our youngest gets rambunctious, Riley hides under the table. Riley has been around another (bigger) dog her entire life, but aside from him she is not used to being around any other dogs. The ideal home for Riley would be a home with adults and/or older children and (maybe?) where she can be the only dog. She is loyal and loves attention. She *might* do well with another dog, we just don't know how she would respond. It might take some patience. Riley has been known to chase cats (herd them), but has never hurt them. Riley is very intelligent, she hates water, and she is crate trained. She will come with her crate, she sleeps in it. Please let us know if you think you could give this sweet girl a new home. We are heartsick at the thought of leaving her behind, but taking her with us is not an option. Small rehoming fee is negotiable for the right family.
